NATIONAL ETHICAL INVESTMENT WEEK 2009: 8-14 NOVEMBER
National Ethical Investment Week (NEIW) 2009 aims to ensure everyone knows that they have green and ethical options when it comes to their investments.
Green and ethical investments allow you to have a positive impact on the environment and society, while still making as good a return as with other investments.
NEIW brings together Advisers, Charities and Trusts, Financial Organisations, Faith Groups, NGOS and Community Groups to raise awareness of green and ethical investing.
What Can You Do?
1 - Use the web banners and logo in your marketing materials
Advertise your support for the Week by using our logo and website banners. Website banners are now available. To use the logo on your website or in your marketing materials, send an e-mail request to community@uksif.org.
2 - Talk About Green and Ethical Investment Options
How could you encourage your members, customers, employees or supporters to consider a green or ethical investment option? Hold an internal staff briefing, or invite some of your clients in to talk about the wealth of opportunities in green and ethical investing.
3 - Alert your local media
National Ethical Investment Week provides a hook that you can use to communicate with the media in your area. Write a press release or send a letter to the editor voicing your support.
Not all Financial Organisations can participate in National Ethical Investment Week. See Who Can Participate for more information.
Charities, faith and community groups and NGOs are all free to participate in NEIW. Faith groups can download the Action Guide for Faith Groups, produced in association with ECCR.
National Ethical Investment Week 2009 is sponsored by Aviva Investors, CCLA Investment Management, The Co-operative Financial Services and Henderson Global Investors. AIFA will also be a partner of NEIW 2009.
