IRIS Advisory Meetings: Recap Earlier this month, the GIIN held the first full meeting of the Impact Reporting and Investment Standards (IRIS) advisory committees. IRIS is a standardized vocabulary and framework for reporting the social and environmental performance of impact investments. The three IRIS advisory committees - Taxonomy, Strategy & Adoption, and Technology - each helped refine both the long-term goals for the initiative and the short-term tactical considerations. In 2010, an updated version of the taxonomy will be finalized and adoption will expand beyond the pilot organizations. Read more about IRIS here. Impact Investor Spotlight: Triodos Investment Management Each month, an impact investor discusses with the GIIN their motivations, their impact investment strategy, specifics about impact investing deals they’ve made, and challenges they face in this growing industry.
