Mayor launched Social Enterprise Bootcamp | | Red Ochre has won the contract for the delivery of the Social Enterprise Bootcamp – labeled “Business Revolution”. With much of the enterprise support programmes in London disappearing the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, launched a series of tailor-made ‘Business Bootcamps’ at the British Library’s Business and IP Centre on Friday 13th May 2011. The Mayor of London committing £275,000 from RBS and another £135,000 from the Open Innovation EU’s Interreg scheme. Celebrating the success of the Ready to Grow programme The Ready to Grow programme was a 3 year specialist support programme that saw the creation of 17 new enterprises, 39 new jobs together with the expansion of existing BAMER social enterprises. A further 200 individuals engaged with the programme and were inspired to consider social enterprise as a career option. The SE’s themselves have gone on to benefit a further 18,000 individuals through their service delivery. This pan-London programme was initiated and led by Red Ochre in partnership with Olmec and funded by Capacitybuilders.
