Choosing the right legal structure is a big decision that can have a real impact on how your social enterprise performs. Why do some organisations choose, for instance, to be CICs, others opt for a different structure, registering as charities, setting up partnerships, or more simply sticking with a more "mainstream" company structure alone, as CLGs or a company limited by shares.

How can you ensure that you make the right choice?
