The indicators will be developed by a wide range of stakeholders that include FAST lending members, IRIS stakeholders, and experts in sustainable agricultural production, trade financing, and performance measurement. After review by the IRIS governance body, the resulting set of metrics will be publicly released and incorporated into the IRIS standards later this year. They will also be included in the FAST Shared Impact Assessment Methodology and Toolbox following internal review and approval. FAST members will be among the first practitioners to use the new performance indicators to report social and environmental impact. IRIS is a standard language for tracking and reporting the social and environmental performance of organizations receiving impact investment capital. FAST is a member-driven international organization that works to ensure the continued growth of sustainable production and trade by increasing the number of sustainable small and medium enterprises in developing countries who successfully access quality finance.
