Hello,
Welcome to the ClearlySo Newsletter, our regular update on the world of ClearlySo and social enterprise in general.
This week saw the end of a very long road as Chris White’s Social Value Bill finally made it through the House of Lords. Will it be a game changer as White hopes? We take a close look on the blog this week.
We’ve also seen the launch of the Social Enterprise Qualification: Can this inject a spirit of social enterprise into our schools? Foolish as it might be to pass judgement so early, Tom Cropper gives it a very good go.
We also have information about the upcoming SOCAP conference in Malmo, the latest jobs and a roundup of the news.
Have a great weekend,
Tom Cropper
Social enterprise qualification

News roundup
Finally, before we go, here’s a run-down of what’s been a hectic couple of weeks in the social enterprise sector. There was good news as Chris White’s Social Value Bill made it through the Lords, but there was bad also. David Cameron’s families Tsar Emma Harrison was forced to resign over controversies surrounding the ‘social enterprise’ A4e. Meanwhile, SKS Microfinance was implicated by its own report into the suicides of over-extended companies. Finally, the landscape of London was altered as the Occupy camp at St Pauls was finally cleared.
