SOCIAL IMPACT REPORT: 2009
Thank you for making a real difference!

As we release the 2009 Social Impact Report this week, we are thankful for you - the investors and supporters that make our work possible!

This report provides a snapshot of the impact our portfolio organizations have made in the lives of people all around the world. This year alone, we estimate this work to have yielded:

  • 2,984 homes
  • 69,736 microenterprises
  • 96,896 jobs abroad
  • 5,020 jobs in the U.S.
  • 6,083 social enterprises, Fair Trade cooperatives, and other nontraditional investments financed

Investors and supporters will receive a copy of the report in the mail. You can also access it directly from our website.

 


Microfinance Expert on Lessons Learned

Calvert Foundation's Sr. Portfolio Associate Caroline Bressan spoke with Microfinance Focus this month about lessons learned from the Nicaraguan "No Pay" movement, which has caused a stir in microfinance investment circles. Caroline and two other industry experts weigh in.
