"When you do the common things in life in an uncommon way, you will command the attention of the world." George Washington Carver

What is Social Entrepreneurship?

Statement of Faith
You can find other "Market with Meaning" but you definitely want to see "Profit with Purpose".
I personally "Believe in Kingdom Transformation" because I know there is only ONE "Life for Significant".

Do you hear what I hear?

enp has just released two new podcasts... Common Thread sews a legacy...
Common Thread repurposes street banners and donated fabric into bags, back packs, book covers and more. They have recently particpated in a project with the City of Vancouver called "Sew a Legacy". Click here for the story and photos...

What do we want for Christmas?  1000 subscribers and more!
Right now, the Canadian Social Enterprise Forum has 350 subscribers from across the country - 350 people exchanging ideas, contacts and resources to help start, manage and grow their social enterprises.  That's great, but what we need to make this group really work is at least 1000 subscribers. Learn more and subscribe here.

Social Enterprises on Recommended Charities Report

Four of the 32 charities that were selected for Charity Intelligence Canada's "Recommended Charities 2009 Research Report" are social enterprises. Click here to see who and a link to the full report.

Talking Social Enterprise:
Can it be a path to sustainability for non-profits?
This Canadian report produced by Vision Management just came across our desk. It was released in November 2009 and can be found here in our resource library.

In each enp newsletter we feature a social enterprise randomly selected from the
Canadian Social
Enterprise Marketplace.
