Excellent participation in enp’s spring workshop round! Enp’s 2010 spring workshops were a huge success. Attendance was high, we had a good mix of organizations attending and feedback was very positive. Over 250 participants attended, representing 187 organizations from 60 different communities. Of participants attending, an average of 74% were women and 22% of attendees completing enp’s online survey indicated that their organization already operated a social enterprise. Plans for workshops in the fall of 2010 are underway. Dates and locations will be announced in the newsletter and on the website when they are finalized. Enterprising Non-Profits would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the numerous people and organizations that helped promote and co-host the spring 2010 round of enp workshops. We would also like to thank our 9 funding partners. This important work could not be accomplished with out your generosity and support. Farewell to our good friends from Scotland and Australia
Enp was very pleased to host social enterprise visitors from Scotland and Australia for a few days following their attendance at the Social Enterprise World Forum in San Francisco, April 26 to 28. In addition to their visiting local social enterprises, (Xa:ytem, HAVE, Atira, Potluck, United We Can, Ecotrust, and Starworks), we also held an ‘international’ curling event at Marpole Curling Club with them. In this photo, we are getting a curling lesson, not that it did us any good! Our warm thanks to all of our colleagues and to the local social enterprises for their hospitality and time.
