Wondering how to get started, how to take next steps? Here are 7 ideas from a veteran in business:
Be affirmed in your call to the marketplace. Over 85% of all Christians serve full-time in the marketplace. The marketplace is where where discipleship can take place in the everyday activities of life.
Seek out biblical values regarding every aspect of your business life. What does God say about handling money, investing, employment, financial engineering and so on. Consider the biblical basis for each and every business principle.
Understand your leadership responsibility to those who work with you. Serve those around you in their life journey toward Christ. These relationships are an avenue to show His love and mercy personally. Pray for those you work with.
Understand your responsibility to serve your community. Your business relationships allow interactions with many other influencers in the community and the example of Christian principles operating in your business will have a wide impact.
Understand your responsibility to your nation and the nations. We should always be thinking of the larger picture and how we can impact our “Jerusalem” and the ends of the earth. As we pray for our leaders I believe God will lead us in way we can affect our nations for the King of Kings.
Meet regularly with people who share your beliefs and calling. Be strengthened in your calling as you walk alongside others. You can learn from those who have gone before you and you will then have an opportunity to train those who come after you.
