Welcome to the SEVEN Fund Newsletter!

Welcome to the September 2010 edition of the SEVEN Fund newsletter, with the latest on our current competitions and programs.

We're pleased to announce the winners of our Morality of Profit competition. The grand prize of $20,000 was awarded to Daniel Pallotta. Mr. Pallotta is a leading expert on innovation in the nonprofit sector, founder of Pallotta TeamWorks which invented the multi-day AIDS Rides and Breast Cancer 3-Days, and author of the landmark book, Uncharitable.

We would also like to congratulate our second and third prize winners, Bradley Hobbs, a university professor, and Mary Halpine, former president of the World Youth Alliance. The winners were selected through a competitive review process that included a jury of journalists and experts on enterprise solutions to poverty.

In addition to our winners, SEVEN would also like to congratulate four Honorable Mentions: Joshua Ruxin in Rwanda, Paul Schwennesen in the State of Arizona, Nyla Nox in Thailand, and Blake Goud in the State of Oregon. More than 2200 entries were received from 88 countries.

SEVEN currently has four active competitions underway: our third annual request for proposals, an essay competition, a photography competition, and a business plan competition focused on creating prosperity in the Philippines.

More information about each of our current programs is available in this newsletter. We also invite you to explore our profile pages for our role models, grantees , and judges, and our newly created Faith & Prosperity blog . We look forward to sharing more details with you about future programs in 2010.
