Now in its third year, the photography competition is for the first time being jointly run by Triodos Bank and the Social Enterprise Coalition in association with Social Enterprise Magazine and the regional social enterprise networks of England.

Co-operatives UK to work with government on new service for public sector co-operatives

Speaking following the launch of the Mutuals Information Service by Minister for the Cabinet Office, Francis Maude, Ed Mayo, Secretary General of Co operatives UK, said:

O2 partners with UK’s biggest social enterprise event

Voice11 will take place on 29th and 30th March at the prestigious London venue, The O2. It is the first time that the Social Enterprise Coalition’s annual event has been held in the capital. The new venue will make next year’s Voice the biggest since it started in 2005. Keynote speakers in previous years have included David Cameron, Francis Maude, now Minister for the Cabinet Office, and Ed Miliband, Leader of the Labour Party.

As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week (15-21 November 2010) RISE are running a series of sessions in schools in Bristol, Cornwall, Plymouth & Torbay. The idea behind running the sessions is to introduce and enhance young people’s ideas about social enterprise, ensure they understand the importance of social enterprise as a business model and inspire them to consider social enterprise as a career option.
