Growing SMEs event, Kigali, Rwanda

Due to logistical reasons, the Growing SMEs event in Kigali, Rwanda has been postponed to May 17-18, 2012.‘Growing SMEs’ is a premium international conference geared towards SME growth. The conference brings together high growth entrepreneurs and experts in the topics of developing, growing and financing SMEs. Its aim is to facilitate knowledge exchange, networking and learning, hence further paving the way for advanced SME development and therefore economic growth. 
Challenges
Training of coaches for the Women in Business Challenge
* With over 220 participants and 85 registered coaches, the third edition of the Women in Business Challenge has already yielded promising results. For the latecomers, it is still time to participate in the competition! The deadline for the submission of complete business plans is April 15, 2012. Read more.

   * With 195 applications and 15 preselected business plans, the Shika competition final will be held on January 26, 2012 in Bujumbura, Burundi. The five finalists will have the opportunity to pitch their plans to the expert jury and an audience of 250 local SME stakeholders.

* Business Women Forum Palestine in collaboration with SPARK and BiD Network will host the award event Business Women Competition on January 25, 2012. The winner will be invited to the Growing SMEs event in Kigali, Rwanda. 

Terimbere Challenge Final,Rwanda 
Terimbere Business Plan Competition Award Ceremony
On December 10, 2011, 14 winners were awarded at the Terimbere Challenge Award Ceremony in Rwanda. The winners were selected from a total of 151 finalists and 700 business proposals presented on June 2011. BiD Network would like to thank and congratulate its local partner JCI Rwanda for the great work. 
Ready4Finance training program

R4F "Train the Trainer" session, Burundi 2011 
After a successful pilot project in Mexico, Tanzania, Colombia and Uganda, BiD Network is extending the use of the Ready4Finance training program. The goal for this advisory service is to provide the training in different languages and to transfer the material to authorized users in all our partner countries.
