Yesterday Social Enterprise UK ran the 'Fit for the Future' event, which aimed to explore the opportunities for social enterprises in healthcare. But could social enterprise be the wrong prescription for the health service?
Stroud Against Cuts certainly think so. They successfully stopped NHS Gloucestershire being spun out into a social enterprise, holding the view that social enterprise is nothing more than a cover for privatisation.
Read the latest on the legal wrangle in Gloucestershire below. We'll have more on this from Stroud Against the Cuts, and someone helping social enterprise spin-outs (Dan Gregory, whose Twitter feed is worth watching for more on the subject), in the next couple of weeks.
Elsewhere we have a great mix of blogs and videos on the Big Society, securing social investment, corporate innovation and more. Enjoy!
