Dear Friends,

Things have returned to something of a normality here at ClearlySo following last week’s successful conference. Thanks to all who attended a record-breaking (and venue-busting) SBC12 and we hope to see you all next year.

But things don’t stand still for long around here. National Ethical Investment Week ends tomorrow and then Global Entrepreneurship Week kicks off on the 12th of November with Social Enterprise Day on Thursday 15th November. To celebrate, why not drop in for a cuppa and a chat at our free tea-time session on the 8th.

Read on for more and enjoy the weekend!

Colleen Baldwin looks back on the day’s events, including a summary of this year’s Social Business of the Year finalists and eventual winner, Victoria Gardiner from Loowatt.
Rod Schwartz expands on the theme of the conference, citing two disaster movies that represent society’s unwillingness to recognise when things have fundamentally changed.
Guest blogger Nick Branch from Thomson Reuters contributes his first post with an excellent summary of just some of the legal issues facing social enterprises today.

There's a small kitchen, plenty of desks, a nice friendly feel, free computers, wi-fi, pool table, and office equipment, and it's right off of all the great pubs and cafes of Broadway Market.
