enp Launches Social Enterprise Purchasing Toolkit www.sepurchasing.ca Over 50 guests joined us for a wine and snacks event to celebrate the launch of the Social Enterprise Purchasing Toolkit. (And of course, the entire event was produced by social enterprise suppliers!) The evening included a guided tour of the Toolkit and discussion about procurement and social enterprise suppliers from our special guest speakers. Thank you to everyone for joining us. And special thanks to Melanie Conn of Devco / Common Thread and Victoria Wakefield, the Manager of Logistics and Sustainability for Supply Management at UBC, for sharing their wisdom and inspiring success stories!
The Toolkit is now available online, have a look at www.sepurchasing.ca. Inside you will find a purchasing framework, action steps, resources, links to our social enterprise marketplace and definitions. Please spread the word about this important tool ! It is our hope that businesses, organizations, and governments will use the Toolkit to assist them in incorporating social enterprise purchasing into their existing procurement practices/policies to help them achieve their CSR goals.
