Our mission is to enable households without reliable electricity to attain the same quality of life as those with electricity. We will begin by replacing every kerosene lantern with clean, safe and bright light. D.light is financed by prestigious venture capital firms including Nexus Venture Partners, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Garage Technology Ventures, Mahindra Group; with investment from leading social enterprise funds Acumen Fund and Gray Matters Capital. | | | | | | | D.light Provides Solar Lights for Haiti Relief Efforts | | The day the earthquake struck Haiti, D.light staff immediately approached local distributors and international aid organizations to see how we could help. We knew that lack of electricity in the affected areas meant relief efforts and earthquake victims would have to rely on generators and solar power for lighting and other needs. We also felt particularly close to the disaster, given that D.light has thousands of customers who live in Haiti (pictured). We're very proud to report that D.light is among the first to respond. We are working closely with the World Bank and its partners to send over 33,000 of our solar lights to Haiti. D.light discounted our products to maximize the impact of each donation dollar, and the remaining funds were provided by government agencies, aid organizations, and individual donors. Look for more updates from our relief efforts in Haiti in the months to come. | | | | | | | | | | | | D.light is Hiring Around the World | | | Are you an experienced professional looking for a new challenge? This video features several D.light customers in India who share about how the Nova Mobile has impacted their lives. Even more interesting, many of these customers have been using our products for nearly a year, which speaks to the long-term durability and value of the Nova. Watch this video now. Many thanks to the Acumen Fund for making this great video possible! | | | | | | | Can't get enough D.light news?
