The late envionmental champion Stephen Schneider reviews The Climate War  We are honored to bring you the last article written by one of the world's most prominent climatologists, Stephen H. Schneider, who died of an apparent heart attack while flying from Sweden to London on July 19. The article is a review of the new book The Climate War , by business journalist Eric Pooley. Schneider wrote the review just three days before his death.
Schneider, a Stanford University biologist, was one of the first to raise the alarm over the impact that humans are having on the world's climate. He advised every U.S. presidential administration from Richard Nixon to Barack Obama. He cofounded the journal Climatic Change in 1975. And he was a lead scientist on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which along with former Vice President Al Gore was awarded the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize. >>Continue reading this book review
