Each month, an impact investor discusses with the GIIN their motivations, their impact investment strategy, and challenges they face in this growing industry.  This month, we spoke to managing principal Ion Yadigaroglu and managing director Alan Chang at Capricorn Investment Group. Capricorn is a private, independent investment firm serving clients who seek a global portfolio driven by consistent financial returns and a principled philosophy. Capricorn was founded by former eBay president Jeffrey Skoll and now also manages investments for a small group of high-net-worth individuals and foundations.

New Research: Money for Good

Based on a survey of 4,000 affluent investors, the Money for Good research initiative explored the US retail market opportunity for impact investment products, and what for- and non-profit organizations can do to ‘unlock’ that market opportunity.  The project was led by Hope Consulting, and supported by the Rockefeller Foundation, the Hewlett Foundation, the Metanoia Fund, and the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE) Capacity Development Fund.
