| | | | Hi Guys, I hope you've all been enjoying the lovely British summer as much as I have. I've been spending as much time as I can outside with the family, cooking with lots of the wonderful fresh herbs and veg from my garden. You've got to love that summer glut! Thanks to all of you who've been posting up stories about your own gardens in the new gardening section of the site. There are articles coming in from all over the world which is brilliant. Food Revolution over in the States is still cracking on. We're taking advantage of the school break to focus our energy on putting together a great new community website. This will be up and running in time for the schools going back so that we can focus everyone's work on the campaign. Keep checking the site for updates. Big love, Jamie O xxx | | | | | | | | | | From the website editor Danny A collection of exciting and delicious bits this month here at JamieOliver.com | |

| | New on JamieOliver.com • A couple of months back, all of the web team went up to Essex to have a barbecue with Jamie. We filmed a few videos of Jamie cooking on the barbie to give you a bit of inspiration. And here are some of Jamie's favourite barbecue recipes. • Why not try some of these delicious summery salads – they'll make the perfect accompaniment to all of your barbecued mains: italian tomato and bread salad and mackerel pasta salad. • If you missed Jamie's latest show – Jamie Does... look out for the repeats on More4 this summer, starting Sunday the 18th of July at 8pm. Find out more about the series and check out the recipes here. | Jamie's Food Revolution This month has been an incredible month for the Food Revolution campaign in America. The petition now has well over 600,000 signatures which is brilliant news. Flavored milk was a big issue for Jamie when he was in Huntington. A couple of weeks ago we heard that the Washington DC school district has announced that they are removing flavoured milk from their schools. This is a massive step forward and it's great to know that the state closest to the US government is leading the way. Let's hope DC's big move inspires other states to do the same. Plans are being put in place for the next phase of the campaign, which will launch in the autumn. A big part will be the new community website which will enable people to connect with Food Revolution activities. If you are in Australia check out Jamie's Food Revolution on Network Ten from Friday 15th July at 19.30 where you can see how it all started. | Keep the little ones entertained With the school holidays just around the corner, make sure you're armed with some ideas to keep the kids occupied.
