Lausanne Global Conversation Now Multilingual | Participation in the Lausanne Global Conversation (LGC) is now possible in eight languages. The multilingual features of the LGC present a unique, ground-breaking opportunity for the global church to collaborate together towards world evangelization across linguistic barriers before, during and after Cape Town 2010. |
Cape Town 2010 Social Media | Do you blog, use Twitter, Facebook or a one of a myriad of other social media tools? If so, we invite you to join Lausanne/Cape Town 2010's Facebook "fan"page, Twitter feed and Cape Town 2010 Blogger's Network. By posting your own thoughts and by re-posting and re-tweeting other comments, you'll help connect an even larger community of Christians to Cape Town 2010 as together we seek ways to share Christ in every region of the world and in every segment of society. |
Towards 2010 Blog | There is a lot of talk about transformation these days. It speaks to the yearning in believers around the world to go beyond head knowledge or behavioral adjustments to a deep and lasting change that allows us to be incarnational in our ministry to others. But where does transformation begin? What launches transformation in our hearts? I was reading a post in the Lausanne Global Conversation from a friend of mine, Pauline Hoggarth, and she hit on this very question. |
Paint Brushes As Evangelistic Tools | Ecclesiastes 4:12 challenges us that "though one may be overwhelmed, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." Cape Town 2010 Mission Committee Chair Michael Cassidy has coined the term "matchmaking" in regard to linking evangelistic teams from around the world to impact Africa for Christ. These working ministry teams will claim this Biblical promise of a supernatural strength when working together. Twenty-one Mission Campaigns will be conducted in Congo DRC, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Rwanda, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda and Zimbabwe. |
Praise & Prayer | God has graciously answered so many of our prayers publically and privately. Please join in the prayer efforts in support of The Lausanne Movement and Cape Town 2010. Resources are available to help you, including the August Prayer Diary and information on the Adopt An Hour Prayer Watch. Please encourage your church to use the monthly prayer diary and also to register to pray for at least one hour during the Congress. |
