What is Social Entrepreneurship?

Statement of Faith
You can find other "Market with Meaning" but you definitely want to see "Profit with Purpose".
I personally "Believe in Kingdom Transformation" because I know there is only ONE "Life for Significant".

Catalytic Philanthropy:
A New Approach in Uncertain Times

Tuesday, January 26, 2pm EST

Webinar presented by Mark Kramer, Managing Director, FSG Social Impact Advisors, in conversation with:

  • Thomas M. Siebel, Chairman of the Meth Project Foundation, Siebel Foundation, and First Virtual Group
  • Diana Aviv, President and CEO, Independent Sector
A new breed of philanthropic leader is emerging among high-net worth donors, foundations, and corporations: the "catalytic philanthropist." These innovative funders don't just give away money—they solve social problems, and they deliver the kind of impact that most nonprofit donors can only imagine.

On Tuesday, January 26, at 2 pm EST, join Mark Kramer, author of "Catalytic Philanthropy" (Fall 2009, Stanford Social Innovation Review) for a live webinar on this dynamic form of philanthropy. Kramer will be in conversation with featured catalytic philanthropist Tom Siebel and Independent Sector's Diana Aviv.

Kramer will overview the four practices of catalytic philanthropy and then turn to Siebel and Aviv for their insights into the practice and practical aspects of applying catalytic philanthropy in the real world. Expect a lively conversation from funder and nonprofit perspectives with plenty of time for Q&A. The webinar will be moderated by Regina Starr Ridley, Publishing Director of the Stanford Social Innovation Review.

For more information and to register for this pay-per-view webinar, click here. The registration fee includes on-demand access to the webinar for 12 months.

This webinar is second in the new SSIR Live! series. Webinars will be presented on the most provocative and important topics that have appeared in recent issues of SSIR and from sessions at the Nonprofit Management Institute. Keep an eye out for future emails announcing upcoming webinars in the series.
