SW - Plymouth Business School Social Enterprise Forum

Location - Robbins Lecture Theatre and Conference Centre, University of Plymouth

The University of Plymouth Business School recruits approximately 900 undergraduate students every year into a wide range of management degrees. Graduates of the Plymouth Business School are known for their employability, engagement and entrepreneurial skills. They are now seeking to further enhance the educational experience of these students through a significant shift in their educational experiences to embrace a mandatory for-credit piece of experiential learning involving social enterprise, community business or green business.

In order to generate discussion and debate about what this experiential learning component of the Plymouth Business School undergraduate degrees might involve, they are proposing to host a meeting at the University for entrepreneurship educators and social enterprise advocates to explore the possibilities.

RISE - RISE BAN - Is social franchising an opportunity for the social enterprise sector?

Location - Bristol

Once a social enterprise has been running successfully ‘social franchising’ can sometimes be an effective way to develop and expand the business further.

On the 2 of June, the RISE Business Advice Network event – held in Bristol - discusses this very topic: with key speaker Keith Richardson, Coordinator of the UK Social Franchising Network and the European Social Franchising Network, both of which are due to be launched soon.
