Statement of Faith
You can find other "Market with Meaning" but you definitely want to see "Profit with Purpose".

Dear Friends,

Thank you for sharing news about the great connections and collaborations that emerged from our Spring Member Gathering. If you missed the conference, or would like to revisit your favorite sessions, we've posted videos from our plenary sessions on our website here and you can read recaps of all the sessions here.

We're already gearing up for our fall conference, to be held in Long Branch, New Jersey, October 21 - 24. Featured speakers include Van Jones, Jim Hightower, Otto Scharmer, Katrina vanden Heuvel, Simran Sethi, Bryan Welch, Joe Sibilia and David Mager. Online registration will open in early July.

We recently selected the finalists for our fourth annual SVN Innovation Awards. We're very excited about the eleven organizations our judges chose and they represent a diversity of next-generation ventures and tackle a variety of social and environmental challenges. Click here to learn more about our finalists. Our judges will select the Innovation Award winners later this summer, and we will honor them at our upcoming fall conference.

Deborah Schoenbaum, our new Senior Director of Programs and Development, is getting ready for a summer of conferences and local gatherings, where she'll connect with SVN members and other leaders from sustainable business networks. See Deborah's travel schedule below. I hope you'll get a chance to meet her soon.

I'd like to thank Ben Bingham for hosting a successful local gathering last month at the home of his colleague Sam Folin in Philadelphia. And thanks also to our local gatherings sponsor, RSF Social Finance.

Coming soon to a mailbox near you: SVN's 2009 Stakeholder Report and our 2010 member directory, so you can stay in touch with SVN members wherever you go.

Thank you for supporting SVN and working to create a just and sustainable world.

In service,
Deb Nelson
