Exciting News from Beyond Profit!
Dear Reader,
For the last several months we have been thinking deeply about our work, the value we provide, and how to best serve our readers. In this exploration, we have talked with many of you—either through our online survey, phone conversations, or in-person dialogues—and we have learned about you and your reading preferences. As a result of this research, we have decided to transition Beyond Profit to an online delivery model. We will continue to produce world class content and relevant data and analysis in the form of surveys, reports and landscape studies, but online we’ll bring you more content, more often. Needless to say, we'll also kill far fewer trees, and reduce both our carbon footprint and yours. Now, the content you love will be available online and/or our special features and longer articles will land straight in your inbox, every two weeks, in the form of the new, redesigned Beyond Profit newsletter. We think you're going to love it!
What does this mean for you? In August, we'll take a break to prepare for our new avatar. But, starting in September, you'll begin to receive Beyond Profit content for free through our e-newsletter. Later in the fall, we will launch our new reader-friendly Beyond Profit website!
If you have become a paid subscriber in the last several months, you will still receive the content you ordered, but in an online format. AND, to make up for the print copies you'll miss, you will receive a complimentary copy of the Beyond Profit Indian Social Enterprise Landscape Report 2010. The report is the first of its kind, and explores the business structure, financial viability, challenges and core values of social entrepreneurs in this rewarding, but often demanding field. In the future, you will find that we will be focused more on producing new data, landscape studies, and fresh, insightful surveys.
As always, our ears, eyes, hearts, and minds are open to your ideas, perspectives, and advice. We look forward to thinking "Beyond Profit" with you in the years to come. We believe, as Seth Godin says, it is a privilege to "deliver anticipated, personal and relevant messages to people who want to get them." We are proud to call you members of the Beyond Profit "tribe." We hope you will keep reading, and help us recruit new readers to our tribe.
Happy Reading!
The Beyond Profit Team
